Google now tracking offline sales conversions

Google is already trying to make smartphones more intelligent by tracking the online and offline activity of users of its services, and offering them relevant alerts and notifications.

However, it looks like Google is also planning to leverage the user’s offline activity to allow advertisers to target audience in better way, if a new report is to be believed.

Google conducting a program that takes advantages of samrtphone location data to find out when consumes visit physical stores, according to a report by Digiday, which cities agency executives briefed on the program by Google employees, as a source for this information.

The program, which is currently in beta, links users’s store to their visits to their searches conducted on smartphones through Google, to establish the efficacy of its mobile ads.

For instances, if a users searches for a product name in Google mobile searches, with location tracking enabled, nearby stores that offers the product can bid to get their ad served to the user above other ads. Google can then connect and track the user    ‘s location data, and after comparing it with its listing, check if the user who was served the ad actually visited the store after viewing it.

However, as with other location-based services, Google will only be able to leverage this data if the user opts in to turn on location services on his/her device. Google can track the user’s location through Android devices and iOS devices with the Google app.

Through the program, Google will reportedly be able to offer advertisers a better and more concrete estimate of their returns on ad investments, and command higher ad rates for better targeting.

Xolo Q2000 quad-core phablet

Xolo’s latest quad-core phablet is now official for the Indian market, priced at Rs. 14,999. The Xolo Q2000 was earlier spotted on the company’s official site on Friday, but without pricing and availability details.

The Q2000 is dual-SIM device with support for GSM+GSM, and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The 5.5-inch IPS display on the Xolo Q2000 features a 720x1280 pixel resolution, boasting of a pixel density of 267ppi. The Xolo Q2000 continues the Q range tradition and equips a quad-core 1.2GHz MediaTek 6589W processor with a 357MHz powerVR SGX544 GPU. It includes 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32B. The Q2000 also sports a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with a ‘BSI 2’ sensor and flash, while there is also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera on board. The Xolo Q2000 packs a 2600mAh battery which the listing claim can deliver up to 17 hours of talktime and up to 520 hours of standby time.

The Xolo Q2000 smartphone expands the company’s Q samrtphone series, which already include six smartphones, namely the Xolo Q700, Xolo Q1000, Xolo Q1000S, Xolo Q800 and the recently launched Xolo Q900, all of which powered by quad-core processor.

Xolo has been aggressively launching smartphones across different price segments in the last few months. Recently, the company launched a new A-series smartphone in India, the Xolo A600, at Rs. 8,199.

The Xolo A600 features a 4.5-inch qHD (540x960) IPS display and a pixel density of 245ppi. The smartphone is powered by a dual-core 1.3GHz MediaTek 6572W processor with a Mali 400 GPU, coupled with 512MB of RAM. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality.

Mail.app update for OS X Mavericks for Gmail issues

Apple has released an updated Mail app for users of OS X Mavericks, it resolve the issues of users when they use the Gmail in their OS mobile in it or creates many issues following by them.

The mail app removing the issues like moving, deleting, editing, archiving messages for users with custom Gmail settings, which causes the issues for unread mail, count to be accurate. In addition to offering additional fixes that will be improve the functionality and stability of Mail, as per Apple.

To install the update, after backing up their systems, users can go to the Apple menu and click on Software Update to check for updates through the Mac App Store. Users can also download the manual update installer through the Apple Support Downloads website.

The Mavericks Mail app update was previously seeded to Apple developers and employees.

In addition to the update to the mail app, Apple has also released an update version of iBooks for Mac that fixes bugs and brings performance and stability improvements.

The iBooks app for Mac made its debut with Mavericks and enables users to download and read iBooks and iBooks Textbooks.

OS X Mavericks offers a lot of under the hood through it doesn’t feature many new user facing changes. It brings new features like Finder Tabs; Tags; enhanced multiple display support; updated native apps like Maps, iBooks, and Safari browser; and iCloud keychain, among others. It also brings under the hood changes for faster performance and longer battery life, including Timer Coalescing that groups low-level together so that the processor doesn’t use more power and battery is conserved, App Nap that saves power while working on multiple apps by slowing down the apps that are in the background, and compressed memory that frees up memory space for faster performance. 

Apple announced the public availability of OS X Mavericks on October 22, and for the first time offered it as a free download through the Mac App Store.

Samsung Confirms Folding Display launch

At South Korea Samsung second analyst meeting has been taken in which its CEO has talk about its new upcoming gadgets and devices with newer technologies.


Samsuung Electronics CEO Kwon Oh Hyun gives the information about their new plans that will be launched in 2015; these devices are like their foldable mobile phone. He revealed that company works many projects are gives the best gadgets to them, Company works for their flexible screen device phablet, curved surface phones, wearable devices, and now it mainly work for foldable device mobile. Samsung CEO kwon Oh Hyun not specify any timeframe for the launch of foldable device phone but he will gives some hints about that the company launch very soon foldable device phone in 2015.

Kwon also acknowledged that the improvement of product sale of their first tech Gear, company is not 100% satisfied with their first wearable device (Galaxy Gear) product.

Whereas, JK Shin, President and CEO of IT & mobile communication claimed that the sales of Samsung tablets is increases 40 million in this year 2013 as compared to the last year 2012, that will be the double of their last sales productivity ratio. In meeting Samsung promised to their investors to add extra functionality to their tablets and renewing to their focus on tablets.

Not too be very long, Samsung launched their last mobile with the curved surface display that will be the variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The Samsung Galaxy Round have the 5.7-inch display with horizontal curved surface display and also its weight is too less than the all other flat screen mobile and its grip the sale more as compared to other mobile. Samsung launched this mobile in South Korea but no any date of launch will be confirm to send it to the market.
